February 14th is traditionally a day of flowers, chocolates, and teddy bears-a day to show your love to significant people in your life. I love to receive all those tokens of love, too, so why pick a certain day…why not show your love every day?
Love needs to be unconditional - in good times, bad times, sad times, all times. During those times when you’re feeling the least loving, ask yourself, why am I putting conditions on my love?
Usually, loving feelings diminish when we’re feeling low on energy, overwhelmed with life’s tasks, or underappreciated by co-workers, or at home. One solution to help remember those loving feelings again is to create a meaningful reminder.
Create a “Reasons I love” jar, filled with a variety of reasons that you fell in love with your partner, or took the job that you’re working, or the place you are living. Pick a reason out when you’re feeling love waning and give thanks that you have an opportunity to love, and then share your remembered feelings!
How can you share your loving feelings, not just this 14 February, on any day of the year?
